Wildlife Habitat
Molokaʻi is home to native birds, insects, and plants that exist nowhere else on earth. This project focuses on protecting and restoring the habitat conditions those species depend on — guided by monitoring and community knowledge rather than assumptions.
Why It Matters
Many native species depend on specific native plants and intact habitat. When forest is lost or invaded by non-native species, these populations lose the conditions they need to survive. Habitat restoration gives them a chance to persist.
